Formal proposals and required attachments are due by no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 15 and July 15. Proposals may be sent any time prior to the deadline, and applicants are encouraged to submit proposals early if possible. Applicants are encouraged to use the on-line process for the application and proposal narrative, and must submit required attachments by mail. However, if necessary, the application and proposal narrative may be typed and mailed with the attachments. Faxed or e-mailed proposals are not accepted.

Organizations who receive an award in one year may not reapply in the next consecutive year unless Kirkpatrick Foundation has received the report form in a timely manner. When mailing the proposal, applicants are encouraged to verify receipt.

Please fill in all items on the required forms (application, agreement and report). Accompanying materials should be minimal. Do not send proposals in a folder or notebook. Do not send press releases or printed articles. Brief brochures about the organization or a specific program are appreciated. Send only one copy of all materials.

Agreement and Reporting. An agreement form regarding the expenditure of grant funds, publicity, and reporting requirements must be completed and returned to the Kirkpatrick Foundation before grant checks are dispersed. The form will be mailed to applicants after grant awards are approved by the board of trustees in late March and September. A report form is required for all grant recipients within eleven months of the award.
